70 BARRACUDA/ CUDA CLONE VERT FOR SALE

$83,000 OBO/ PARTIAL MOPAR TRADES CONSIDERED.

OK, here is what I have for sale. This car is not a perfect rotisserie or correct car because I did it my way, but it is a beautiful car. Most things are complete but there are some small items to finish, very small nick nacks and such.

Here is what I have for sale.

Originally a 70 Barracuda 318 Grand coupe convertible.

Now a 70 440-6 CUDA clone, recreation, what ever you want to call it.

Car now has the following items

Real, NOT reproduction Shaker hood, shaker six pack base plate and adapter ring, Repop bubble and real shaker vents. No fresh air cable set up yet.

New rebuilt 72 440, forged crank with a brand new 6 pack set up, new rebuilt 727, new 8 ¾ Sure grip with 323 gears for cruising. It is a very nice driver and has approx 10 miles on the rebuild. New TTI exhaust 2 ½ with beautiful TTI polished exhaust tips. Console auto with slapstick, and a 71 or later console in red. Car has new wiring harnesses in engine bay and I still need to install the new tranny harness.

Car has rally gauges that I would rebuild. They look nice but I was getting ready to take them out and send them off. I was actually going to take them out and go newer style gauges.

Car has brand new paint, ( VIPER RED/ALSO NOT CORRECT COLOR FOR ERA) and is STANDOX, a very fine German paint that I had painted over the PPG which was nice but not as nice as this paint, which is expensive. This is a beautiful paint job!

The car is not a correct car due to various changes and has had the driver side quarter panel replaced with a quarter panel from an AAR Cuda, thus the antenna hole is in the rear quarter panel, which I love and thus why I did it. The trunk was replaced and I never drilled the body plug holes because I don’t intend on having it out in the rain. So its not correct looking in this regard and wont win any of the trophies shows like it is in an original category. I did this car my way.

Car has brand new legendary interior in two tone black with red, new black carpet and new door panels. I used a dash cap, As I absolutely refused to pay the price for a new dash, so that would need to be completed if you want it correct. Car comes with the A.M 8 track E body stereo, ( also an expensive item) but I need the dash piece for the 8 track as I don’t have it and the current dash piece covers the 8 track portion up. The 8 track also needs to be serviced but that’s a cheap item for belt and such.

The car needs a new top as I have not done that yet. New top installed is a cheap item. The power top hoses have been replaced and it works perfect. For the asking price, I will replace the top!

This car has the correct 70-71 Go-wing deck lid and a go-wing, hockey stick, Cuda gills on the rockers, ect. 15x8 date coded 70-71 Rally wheels.

This car has undergone a restoration for 10 plus years and runs, nice. It is no trailer queen and has simply just sat in my shop since finished for the past year or so. I am planning on retiring in two years and am selling it to start a new home elsewhere, so I am in no hurry to sell it.

I would suggest that anyone who is interested in a car as expensive as this to come look at it. The car’s dash VIN is missing. However, I have sanded off the area around the cowl, so the VIN on the cowl can be seen, which matches the VIN in the clear Nevada title. The dash had obviously been switched out when I bought it almost 12 years ago. I will repaint the cowl area and install the black wiper/cowl grates where this is after the seller is satisfied. The dashes were routinely changed in these cars because they cracked.

There are obviously lots of little small things one could do to it if they were so inclined to do so, but the big stuff is done. If your looking for a show winner that’s correct in every way like color and all, then don’t look any further. If you want something to drive and use, and make your own then this is a beautiful and nice car. Come and check it out. It needs lots of little things that I may do if I get the chance such as the overflow bottle and other small items. None of these are difficult and as I get some time, can be done but are easy little things.

If you wanted to, you could put a HEMI into it and make some money on it. I don’t have the time/ energy to do so.

I really like the car, but am into the cars I can thrash around a bit more and race and these converts have become too valuable to do that type of activity with. I have babied this car and it really deserves to used more and I wont as I am not a show type of person.

I am more of an old school guy and am getting into the Max Wedge era cars and may consider a partial small trade of a 64 Polara vert or 64 Sport Fury/ fury vert as a consideration. I may also consider a HEMI engine partial trade as I have other cars to use a HEMI in or may consider other cars, 71 Cuda or barracuda, ect as partial trade. These cars are very rare as I am sure you know if you are looking for one. I may negotiate the price a bit if you do not want the original shaker hood as they are very expensive and I could use it on my other Cuda H.T

I have posted it here because I want a local buyer who can come and look at it in person! Ebay involves too many questions and long distance buyers who cant get here in a couple of hours. I am approx 2 ½ to three hours from the Bay area and 7 hours North of Los Angeles.

The car is located in Smith Valley/ Wellington ,Nevada, 89444, zip and is an hour and a half South of Reno Nevada.  Please fell free to call me with any questions at 775-720-7574.

Thanks for looking.  Dave
